JH Harvesters Raise the Bar

JH Harvesters Raise the Bar

It’s time to take a second look at John Deere’s 703JH, 753JH, and 759JH tracked harvesters. In the woods, there aren’t many forces as powerful as the new 700JH-Series. Their redesigned hydraulic system offers greater efficiency and reliability, not to mention improvements you can see and feel across all functions. Every feature of the new JH models — from the agile yet strong boom to the reputable heads — enables superb harvesting performance.

Head first
It’s easy to get started with the JH harvesters. Each 700-Series harvester is factory conditioned for easy “plug-and-play” Waratah heads, powered by an efficient multifunctional hydraulic system.

Waratah attachments are known for their durability, reliability, and precision. The factory pre-wired measuring system is designed specifically for H480, HTH616 and HTH622B Waratah heads, so these Deere machines can deliver the absolute best performance, productivity, and uptime in the industry. From processing at the landing to harvesting at the stump, you can reliably maximize jobsite production while getting the highest-value cut per stem.

The best gets better
The new load-sensing hydraulic system has also been improved with 17-percent higher flow to the head for improved delimbing pressure and feed speed. There is also a 26-percent higher flow to the main circuits, meaning more power and efficiency across the board.

The machine’s hydraulic system knows when and where you need power to get the job done. The pressure-compensated, load-sensing hydraulics increase oil flow to improve function speeds in peak performance situations and increase the hydraulic system’s lifespan. The result is better grabbing pressure and faster speed. Plus, the hydraulics run cooler, making pumps last longer and keeping your equipment running smarter with much more time between repairs.

There are several more ways how the new JH harvesters will help you maximize productivity and keeps costs down. John Deere’s highly fuel efficient engines are proven to be reliable and tough, and go far between fill-ups. The new JH models also feature a greater reach, allowing a wider cutting swath - 17 percent wider than previous models – enabling the operator to make more cuts with less travel. Improved swing torque, which has been increased by 10 percent, helps you harvest more efficiently. Meanwhile, the optional Flexxaire™ fan system reduces debris buildup, further ensuring cooler, more efficient hydraulics.

The corner office with a view
The compact JH harvesters are as impressive on the inside as they are on the outside. Among the most spacious in its class, the cab of this powerhouse is comfortable, well-appointed, and efficiently arranged for maximum productivity. Loggers will appreciate the clear and expansive sight lines, as well as the isolation mountings for a smoother and quieter ride.

Specific cab features include tinted polycarbonate windows with a removable skylight; Powerview™ monitor with backlit gauges that make it easy to view engine coolant temp, fuel levels, hydraulic oil temps, tachometer, and more; isolation mountings to reduce noise and vibration; fully adjustable suspension seat, armrests and backrest; easy access to pedals and levers, and joysticks located at the armrests for additional operator comfort; and an AM/FM radio and standard air conditioning. Finally, storage is available behind the seat and in the door. It all adds up to a comfortable work environment for a very productive shift.

Thanks to John Deere’s cutting-edge Shift-Tilt™ technology, the JH-Series features the industry’s most stable platform for cutting on difficult slopes. Its four-way leveling system allows the upper structure to shift a full three feet forward, keeping the machine’s center of gravity properly positioned on steep inclines.

John Deere good
These powerful machines boast a proven tractive-effort-to-weight ratio to keep your operation going strong - even in swampy or super-steep areas. And when work is literally in the thick of things, you can count on the JH’s compact size and strong, flexible boom for easier maneuverability.

The field-tested enhancements of the 700JH-Series harvesters were designed for lower operating costs and easier service and maintenance. It’s John Deere technology - for a future of healthy forests, and long-term success for loggers.
