2 The 1490D Energy Wood Harvester follows, gathering slash and compressing it into manageable bundles.

The John Deere 1490D Eco-III Energy Harvester is the first machine of its kind – it allows you to turn "waste" into profits.

  • Gathers biomass with an extended-reach boom and grapple, and compresses it by 80 percent
  • Produces bundles for biomass energy or fuel feedstock
  • Able to gather and compress in excess of 25 bundles per hour
