Lower initial cost makes the 1010D John Deere forwarder a practical solution for many mechanized and hand-felling cut-to-length loggers. Built for reliable, sustained productivity in a wide variety of applications, the 1010D has most of the design concepts and many components of the larger Deere forwarders. The Loader Control System (LCS), set to operator preferences, makes loading fast and accurate.

The 1010D is available in 6-wheel and 4-wheel versions, with a choice of three boom configurations and two deck lengths to meet lift or reach priorities.
