New 755D Crawler Loader More Versatile, Productive Than Ever

MOLINE, Ill. (March 5, 2007)-John Deere's new 755D Crawler Loader provides a number of advantages to machine owners who require a rugged, powerful loader that's economically smart to run. The highest horsepower and tipping load, as well as the best visibility and serviceability on the market, are only the beginning of the benefits the 755D crawler loader delivers.

"This loader has incredible performance, but it's also easy to operate and fast to service," said Dan Drescher, product marketing manager, John Deere Construction & Forestry Company. "It's ideal for loader applications that require a lot of power for faster loading and transport."

This loader's performance starts with the engine and power train. A Tier 3-certified, turbocharged, charge-air-cooled, 6.8L 6-cylinder John Deere 6068H engine features a wet sleeve design and produces 181 horsepower at 1,800 rpm. The state-of-the-art hydrostatic transmission is controlled by a single lever and enables the 755D to provide power management, infinite speed control, power turns, counter-rotation and dynamic braking. A transmission-only decelerator operation provides full power to the hydraulics while slowing the tracks. The 755D loader provides new, adjustable transmission rates-the technician quickly adjusts the rate by using a laptop. Drawbar pull has increased by 18 percent. The cool-on-demand cooling system also is state-of-the-art. Five fin per inch radiator resists plugging and cleans easily, while the hydraulically driven fan reduces wear and adjustment of the drive belts.

The operator's station features numerous improvements that enhance comfort and productivity. Large access doors-four inches wider than the previous model-provide easy entry and exit. Operator comfort is further enhanced by increased airflow and defrosting from 10 adjustable airflow vents and dual-sided sliding windows. A redesigned, front-mounted monitor features audible and visual warning lights, illuminated gauges and a high-visibility screen. Visibility to the bucket is the best in the industry. Activation of the Return to dig, boom float and boom height kick-out functions are effortless.

The hydraulic system provides maximum productivity, with load-sensing hydraulics that deliver predictable response, regardless of the load. A single hydraulic pilot control lever results in less operator fatigue and better control. An optional ripper pins directly to the frame for enhanced durability.

Various machine structures also are designed for productivity and durability. With 101 inches of track on the ground, this machine is one of the most maneuverable in its class. A 100-in. wide, 3.14 cu.-yd. bucket is standard, with a 2.62 cu.-yd. bucket optional. New, unitized track frames have outside mounted final drives. The NeverGrease bucket pivot pins never need lubing, so periodic service is eliminated. Weight distribution has been redesigned, with a standard 2,090-lb. counterweight for increased tipping load (the highest in its class).

Servicing the 755D is quick and simple. Daily and periodic service points are grouped, and lockable service doors provide wide-open access to dipsticks, sight gauges, fill tubes and filters. The cab tilts rearward with the removal of four bolts, and service intervals are generous, with 500 hours for engine oil and hydraulic/transmission filter changes, 1,000 hours for final drive and duo cone oil, and 2,000 hours for transmission oil. Double final drive seals provide an early warning system in case of oil loss. Remote ports test system pressures, and onboard diagnostics allow quick diagnosis and rapid repair.
