624K Takes Center Stage at NAFA

John Deere 624K

At the National Association of Fleet Administrators (NAFA) conference in New Orleans, Louisiana, the 624K Loader was front and center at the conference's ride-and-drive session.

While the 624K was not able to be driven in downtown New Orleans, association members were excited to see the new K-Series Loader and its advanced features. Fleet administrators are talking a lot about idle reduction, carbon footprint and fleet emissions. The new K-Series shows John Deere is 'on it' with the fuel-efficient driveline, Tier 3 emission engine and auto-idle/shutdown features.

John Deere participated in this event under the Diesel Technology Forum (DTF) umbrella. "Deere is a leading member of DTF," said Joe Mastanduno, Product Marketing Manager. "And events like these where Deere can prominently display our latest technology are good examples of the benefit of alignment with this organization."

Many fleet administrators at the event handle both on- and off-highway fleets, so many of them are familiar with John Deere equipment from the Ag and C&F channels. "While most of the ride-and-drive focused on small electric vehicles and bikes, along with some CNG (compressed natural gas) and LPG (liquefied petroleum gas) machines, we have to always remind industry and the market that diesel engines remain one of the most efficient power plants," said Joe.
