2008

Deere & Company Chairman and CEO Robert W. Lane has been included on Barron's list of "The World's Best CEOs."

Deere & Company achieved its highest rank ever in the annual "100 Best Corporate Citizens" list, which scored Deere 4th among more than 1,000 publicly traded, large-cap U.S. companies.  The list is compiled by CRO magazine (journal of The CRO, a membership organization for corporate responsibility officers).

Fortune "Most Admired" List - John Deere ranked as the most admired company in the Industrial and Farm Equipment category of the magazine's annual listing.

Deere & Company is among six organizations chosen by Diversity Best Practices to receive the organization's 2008 award for diversity leadership.

Readers of Minority Engineer magazine have ranked John Deere among the 50 companies they'd most like to work for.

The BLACK COLLEGIAN magazine has ranked John Deere in its list of the top 100 employers of the Class of 2008.

The Kazakhstan Ministry of Agriculture awarded John Deere two medals at the AgroProdExpo. The John Deere STS combine, with its Bullet Rotor technology, was named the best combine of its type and the 1895 Air Seeder was selected as the best seeder for no-till applications.

Two John Deere products have received FinOvation Awards from Farm Industry News magazine.  John Deere's Gator XUV 850D utility vehicle and 9030 Series tractor were recognized with the magazine's annual award.

Two John Deere products received recognition for innovation at Agritechnica 2007, the world's leading agricultural machinery exhibit, Hanover, Germany.  The electric power network of the E-Premium tractors received a gold medal, while the multi-cylinder straw material flow concept on the John Deere T-Series combines earned a silver medal.

Deere & Company received the 2008 Leadership Award for Value-Based Health from the Institute for Health and Productivity Management. This award recognizes John Deere's innovative employee benefits programs and tools to promote wellness and illness prevention.

 

 

2009

Fortune "World's Most Admired Companies" List - John Deere ranked as the second most admired company in the Industrial and Farm Equipment category of the magazine's annual listing.

John Deere was ranked second in the list of the "Top 50 Employers" that readers of CAREERS & the disABLED magazine said they would prefer to work for or that they consider progressive in hiring people with disabilities.

Minority Engineer magazine featured John Deere as a "Top 50 Employer" based on readers' choice.

The Black Collegian magazine has ranked John Deere in the top half of the "Top 100 Employers for the Class of '09". Featured on the list is an elite group of employers who in spite of the economic meltdown have maintained their on-campus recruiting programs.

Georgia Institute of Technology's Division of Professional Practice (DOPP) has named John Deere the Internship Program Employer of the Year.

John Deere was one of six companies recognized for investing in the development and retention of high-potential female talent by WOMEN Unlimited, Inc. at its 15th anniversary conference in Phoenix, Arizona, April 23.  The organization, based in New York City, is a nationally recognized resource for cultivating leadership excellence.
