Tractor Now on Display

The oldest known complete John Deere tractor is now on permanent display at the John Deere Collectors Center in Moline, Illinois.

Acquired by Deere & Company from the estate of the late Frank Hansen of Rollingstone, Minnesota, this tractor demonstrates the early emphasis on research and development that is still embraced throughout the John Deere product line today.

The All-Wheel-Drive (AWD) tractor was unveiled at a press conference on Saturday, March 13, 2004, at the Collectors Center. The machine is the only complete one known to still exist of approximately ninety-six tractors built by John Deere in 1918.
