Safety
Auger finger retainers available for auger platforms

Symptoms
Auger fingers ingested into combine after breaking

Situation or Problem
Auger fingers are not held in place if they break at the designated break joint.

Summary
The finger retainer system is available as a service kit for field installation.

Solution Steps

All 900 Series rigid, flexible, and belt pickup platforms now feature auger finger retainers on all retractable cross auger fingers. In most cases, the finger retainer holds the finger in place and prevents it from falling out should the finger break at the designated break joint. This helps prevent the finger from being ingested into the combine and causing possible internal damage if it is not caught by the combine's stone trap system.

The finger retainer system is available as a service kit for field installation on all prior 900 Series rigid, flexible, and belt pickup platforms (serial no. -690101).
