Tractors
The PowerGard Protection Plan extended warranty covers failures due to defective materials or original workmanship of covered components. Customers have a choice between either the Limited (engine & powertrain) coverage form or the Comprehensive (full-machine) coverage form.
New John Deere Tractors
For Customers of new (in warranty) John Deere tractors, they can select the Limited (engine & powertrain) or Comprehensive (full-machine) coverage. See the chart to the right for all available total month and total hour (engine hour) options. These coverage terms are in Total Months & Total Hours, and include the underlying basic warranty terms of 24 months / 2000 hours on John Deere tractors.
Eligible Models
Pre-Owned John Deere Tractors
The Limited (engine & powertrain) warranty coverage provides additional protection against parts and labor expenses related to component failures in the engine and powertrain area after your purchase of a pre-owned, PowerGard inspected and certified tractor. Coverage begins from the date of delivery from your local John Deere dealership, and ends upon the PowerGard expiration date, depending upon the number of months of protection purchased. The total hours of additional protection selected are hour beyond the engine hour meter reading on your pre-owned John Deere tractor at the time of sale of the tractor. Only used, out-of-warranty tractors that are fully inspected and certified by your local John Deere dealership and held for sale are eligible for the Limited coverage provided under PowerGard Protection.

PowerGard Certification
The PowerGard Certification process is a 100+ point tractor inspection. This is performed by your authorized John Deere dealership service technician.
