PowerGard for New John Deere Combines - Plan A

Total Months and HoursNew John Deere combines are eligible for plan A if they have less than 350 engine hours and are less than one year old. See chart for Plan A coverage options. Eligible Models

PowerGard for Pre-Owned John Deere Combines - Plan B

Total Months and Hours Pre-Owned John Deere combines are eligible if they are PowerGard Certified, have less than 1,500 engine hours, and are less than six years old. Plan B is only available on used combines in the dealership inventory at the time of sale. Plan B coverage options start from the date of delivery by the dealership.

PowerGard Certification

PowerGard Certification The PowerGard Certification process is a 100+ point combine inspection. This is performed by your authorized John Deere dealership service technician.

The Inspection Includes:

  • Engine, Cooling, and Fuel Systems
  • Powertrain
  • Hydraulic Systems
  • Electrical Systems
  • Steering and Brakes
  • Operators Station
  • Safety Equipment
  • Miscellaneous Equipment
  • Certification and inspection process also includes fluid testing on the engine oil, transmission oil, hydraulic oil, and coolant for indications of wear
