| The John Deere 4720 Sprayer: New Option Increases Productivity |

The John Deere 4720 Sprayer, one of the most productive sprayers in its class, is now even more productive, thanks to the availability of the new Swath Control Pro™ option and to the proven benefits of precision guidance.
Using a coverage map obtained from the GreenStar™ 2 System, Swath Control Pro automatically turns individual boom sections off at waterways, headlands, or other non-spray areas, then back on again once spraying is to be resumed. Off-target application is drastically reduced while operator input and stress are both minimized … especially if the sprayer is also equipped with AutoTrac guidance.
“With AutoTrac guidance, the operator sprays more efficiently by eliminating skips and reducing overlap in the field,” says Curt Schaben, product manager, John Deere Ag Management Solutions (AMS). “Overall, the operator becomes more productive because of less stress operating the machine. Swath Control Pro integrated with AutoTrac is the most productive spraying system on the market today.”
“Our research shows an overall reduction of at least five percent of the input costs when using Swath Control Pro and AutoTrac on a John Deere sprayer,” says Craig Weynand, division marketing manager, John Deere sprayers. The 4720 Sprayer with Swath Control Pro will enable new levels of productivity.”
Currently, Swath Control Pro is only available for John Deere 4720 and 4930 Sprayers with GreenStar 2 systems. Systems for older model sprayers are under development, and will be introduced as they are available.
