Sales

For many people, the local John Deere dealer is the visible face of John Deere. We work through a network of independent dealers and support our dealer`s development and sales to both individual farmers and accounts operating in multiple countries. Our used equipment team looks for ways to support our dealers to re-market used equipment to both existing and new customers for John Deere. If you are passionate about our products and services, John Deere has a variety of opportunities for new talents in sales. You will learn about sales processes in international business, support different departments in daily work and be responsible for selected sales projects. There are many opportunities to travel and network both within the branch itself, with dealers and customers from our markets, as well as colleagues from production units all around the globe.

Marketing

As a John Deere marketing professional, you'll work with regional teams to develop marketing plans which can be easily communicated and implemented in our multiple markets, taking ownership from concept to execution. You will be responsible for identifying dealer needs and responding quickly and effectively, providing the right tools and materials to enable them to promote the John Deere brand and products effectively in their markets. The team organises specialised customer events at John Deere factories to support our dealer`s relationship-building activities. With promotion shifting towards on-line, e-mail and social media we have opportunities for talents well versed in these tools.

Dealer Development

Our customers’ businesses are changing considerably and they need partners they can rely on in the long term to manage those changes. The best way to achieve this is through solid, well run, financially profitable dealers, with enough capacity to invest into the necessary equipment, finance and human resources. John Deere has developed the industry leading “Dealer of Tomorrow” strategy to develop our network to provide exactly this level of long term support. You will be part of a team focusing on implementing new dealerships and merging existing ones to provide scale, then developing the new businesses structure, processes and management capabilities to provide optimisation.

Finance

Solid financial discipline is one of the keys to John Deere International’s success. The finance team consists of two key disciplines; Finance & Accounting and Dealer & Retail Financing:

Finance & Accounting

Because of its international environment John Deere International (JDIN) provides one of the most challenging and rewarding experiences available in the financial world. Working with both US GAAP and Swiss GAAP, the finance and accounting department is responsible for the administration and supervision of all financial affairs for JDIN. You will be part of the team responsible for solid budgeting and controlling processes, beginning with preparation and monitoring of annual budget, recording revenues & expenditures, providing month end and year end closings and preparation of the Annual Financial Report and interim Financial Statements. The team is responsible for managing the branch assets and inventory as well as overseeing internal procedures and audits such as Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX). Supporting the sales network, the team also works closely with the regional pricing and incentives departments to provide transparent, easy to manage incentives management processes.

Dealer and Retail Financing

Access to capital is one of the key criteria for machinery purchases in many of our markets. Our retail finance team, John Deere Financial works together with the John Deere Bank and local banking partners to provide tailored financing solutions for John Deere dealers and customers in many international markets. The finance portfolio extends from retail financing to wholesale lending. Establishing this in each market involves significant work on customer service, collections, international finance, litigation, processing support, repossession and remarketing before we are ready to launch.
