John Deere Scholarship

Discover a world of opportunities with the work placement and scholarship programme at John Deere - The world's largest manufacturer of agricultural equipment.

Harper Adams University College
HAUC is one of the best universities in its field, with close links to industry. It specialises in land-based engineering courses, such as Agricultural Engineering, and caters to over 2,200 students. The university has an enviable reputation, producing top class engineers with a keen focus on practical skills and an impressive graduate employability record.

What is expected of the selected candidate?
The selected scholarship candidate will act as a representative of the company, so exemplary conduct is expected. There will be regular reviews of the candidate's progress, and John Deere reserves the right to withdraw the scholarship, should the student fail to meet the company's expectations either on a personal or academic level.

What happens after the work placement?
After completing their work placement, students will return to university to complete their final year of study. The selected scholarship candidate will also receive support both in selecting a topic and in collecting supporting data for his/her final year thesis, which will be based on some aspect of work at John Deere.
