Effortless manoeuvrability.
All John Deere machines are characterised by their unique combination of comfort and performance. These also applies to the John Deere 900. The 900 is a triple mower (3 cutting units), available as 2 or 4WD, which is robust but at the same time, compact. The 900 can also be equipped with floating cutting heads for golf course applications. This is a machine remarkable for its traction and manoeuvrability.
Engine

The 900 is powered by a 27hp, 3 cylinder Yanmar liquid cooled diesel engine.

This engine comes with a full John Deere warranty, and provides commonality of parts between the two ranges, which are already in widespread use by local authorities, groundsmen and private contractors throughout Europe.

A 28 litre fuel tank is sufficient for a full day's operation.
Operator Station & Transport

The operator's station features power steering, warning lights, an hour meter, a comfort seat with 3 heights, and horizontal adjustment as well as arm rests. The seat is also adjustable to suit the operators weight too.

Operator Presence System means that the cutting cylinders will stop running as soon as the operator leaves the seat.

An approximately weight of 820kg and only 240cm length, means that the 900 is easily transported by trailer. The 900 also has eyelets at the front and rear of the machine for transportation purposes.
Cutting Units

The triple gang has a cutting width of 2.1m, and is capable of mowing an average of 1.5ha (3.7acres) an hour.

It has a choice of five or seven blade cutting cylinders, offered in fixed or floating head configurations and can be simultaneously or individually lifted by foot pedal or joystick controls.

Recommended mowing speed is approximately 8km/h, and transport speed is 0-20km/h. The 900 has a tight turning radius of only 90cm.
