Spray Booms
Rough fields and tough operating conditions can have a major impact on spraying accuracy. The new spray boom design with Z-bar parallelogram height adjustment enables perfect application, throughout the season.
Two boom types are offered: 18 – 28 m double folded boom with a 2.55 m transport width, and 24 – 28 m triple folded boom with a 3.0 m transport width and a lower transport height, for difficult situations.
The central pendulum system features shock absorbers that minimize boom swaying. The integrated anti-yaw system isolates the spray boom from machine movements in yaw direction. The result is class-leading boom stability, outstanding crop coverage and improvements in your bottom line.
A hydraulic boom tilt with an optional rotary control lets you adjust the boom quickly and precisely to any desired position when working on sloping fields.
“Z-Bar” Design
John Deere has developed a completely new parallelogram boom lift mechanism using a Z-Bar linkage, which enables all season long spraying (50 to 230 cm height). The parallelogram is the foundation for excellent boom stability plus durability and strength as already proven at the 800 series Premium sprayers.
The Z-Bar design optimizes weight distribution at all spray heights since the boom always remains closely positioned behind the sprayer wheels. This provides maximum weight transfer to the tractor for reduced pulling requirements, and increases spray accuracy due to reduced boom yaw and increased stability.
