Simply a cut above the rest.
For years, top growers have depended on John Deere side pull mocos to lay down perfect windrows for baling and chopping.
-
If you choose to equip your side pull moco with a windrow grouper, you will turn up to 6m of grass into a twin windrow of only 2.3m (1.80m on the 1355) which is the perfect width for a John Deere 630A pickup.
-
You can also choose to spread the crop with the optional swathboard which spreads the crop on the machine conditioner width.
-
The highly efficient swivel hitch offers a very short turning angle and horizontal oscillation, thus providing the best manoeuvrability.
-
Optional CV joint transmission lets you move your machine on-the-go to avoid obstacles or cut along uneven fences.
530 Side Pull Mower Conditioner
In addition to the current line of mower conditioners, John Deere Arc les Gray is
pleased to introduce the 530 side pull mower conditioner:
THE 530 MOWER CONDITIONERS
WITH IMPELLER CONDITIONER
100% John Deere: Designed by John Deere, Manufactured by John Deere and Built by John Deere in the Arc Les Gray factory (France).
With a working width of 3.0 m, the 530 is the right answer for customers wishing to further
increase their productivity and forage quality.
Like the 700 Series centre pivot mocos, the 530 receives the proven modular cutterbar made
of cast iron for extra strength and outstanding cutting quality.
Common on all John Deere moco’s, the 530 features the “V” shaped free swinging steel tine
conditioner to accelerate dry down thus improving forage quality.
The suspension is a new and advanced design, allowing high working speeds while
maintaining an excellent cut quality. Long adjustable springs ensure a constant ground
pressure and also fast and soft return to position in case of striking an obstacle. The wide and
large tyres reduce soil compacting for less stubble damage and faster grass re-growth.
In addition, a wide range of options and attachments are available to fulfil the most specific
needs: windrow grouper, wide spread kit and the John Deere exclusive hydraulic tilt
angle adjustment.
A Proven Cutterbar Design
Now available on the 500 and 700 Series, this cutterbar has proven its reliability on 4.0m and
4.5m wide John Deere mocos all around the world for several years. Now, this patented thin
modular cutterbar made of nodular cast iron now equips this new 3m machine. The nodular
cast iron provides additional strength to a thin cutterbar thus providing a low cut at shallow
angles with high reliability. The cutterbar is composed of six 500 mm modules on the 530.
Thanks to its unique design, power is transmitted to the discs individually. The
pinion transmits the drive of each disc and the large diameter idler gears
transmit the power from module to module.
Now thanks to this exclusive design, you don’t
need to dismount the whole cutterbar to make
a repair. In the event of a major breakdown, you
only have to change the damaged module if
needed.
Each disc is protected by a shear hub. In the
case of a severe disc impact, the splines on the
hub will shear, stopping the disc drive
immediately while the disc remains on the
cutterbar. You only have to replace the shear hub
and you are ready to mow again. This does not
require access to the inner gears which are
running in oil for quiet and reliable operation.
Skid shoes located under each cutting module
protect it from wear and can be conveniently
replaced without removing the front protector.
Disc Centres
The disc is also part of the long life and easy
maintenance of your 530.
The discs located forward on the thin cutterbar
allows a low flat angle of cut. A flatter angle is
beneficial because it reduces wear on cutting
components and decreases the likelihood of
damage in rocky conditions.
Discs are equipped with two bolted wear caps. These have two main functions:
• Protect the disc edges: when worn, you only change the cap. You do not need to change
the complete disc which is more expensive. Protect the knife nut from wear and dirt for easy knife replacement from the front of the
cutterbar.
Impeller Conditioner
The “V” shaped free swinging steel tine
impeller guarantees well conditioned crop and
faster dry down.
As on all John Deere mower conditioners fitted
with impellers, individual balancing ensures
long life and quiet running. Two impeller
speeds are available by switching the driving
pulleys.
“V” shaped free swinging steel tines are made of thick material. This provides several
advantages compared to plastic tines:
1) Steel tines can swing back if you strike a foreign object thus reducing the likelihood of
damage.
2) Steel provides far better resistance against wear compared to plastic.
3) A steel tine impeller provides high inertia thus reducing the power requirement and
fuel consumption.
Fast And Easy Adjustments
Conditioning intensity adjustment
On the John Deere 530 side pull mower
conditioner, an easy and quick adjustment
provides precise clearance between the
conditioning hood and the impeller to match
crop variety, density and moisture.
A simple crank on the conditioning hood
changes the distance between the hood and the
impeller (from 10 mm to 120 mm), setting the
correct degree of conditioning for any crop. A
gauge indicates the conditioning intensity.
Cutting height adjustment
Single turnbuckle
The cutting angle is centralised and is adjusted
without any tools thanks to a single turnbuckle
located on the side of the machine.
Exclusive hydraulic adjustment
Additionally, an optional hydraulic tilt angle
adjustment is available. This is very useful to
adjust the cutting height on-the-go to match field
conditions. Reduce the cutting height when
cutting laid crops and increase it in stony
conditions.
Designed For Efficiency
The tongue pivot point on the carrier frame is
offset to the centre to move the centre of gravity
further between the wheels which guarantees
better tracking and allows you to work faster.
Also, this design allows a low carrier frame to
lower the centre of gravity, thus providing the
utmost stability even on slopes allowing greater
productivity.
Advanced Suspension
is also part of this machine. This entirely new
design of suspension provides outstanding
platform floatation. The suspension ensures a
constant ground pressure, plus a fast and
smooth return to the working position, if you
strike an obstacle.
The floatation is provided by two long springs
ideally located.
These are adjusted with a crank to suit any
working and ground conditions.
Wide And Large Tyres
With the optional wider and larger tyre size of
13/75-16-10 PR, you considerably reduce
ground pressure and the risk of soil damage in
soft conditions, whilst also providing more
stability on slopes.
Thanks to its large volume, the recommended
tyre pressure goes down from 2.3 bars (for a
tyre size of 10.0/75-15.3 on a 1365) to only 1.5
bar (for the tyre size 13/75-16 on the 530). This
means a pressure saving of 0.8 bar that provides
over 34% less compaction therefore preserving
crop stubble and accelerate the re-growth.
Windrowing
Fast and easy adjustments help to enhance a high
level of productivity. You only need to move
wing nuts on the conditioning hood to achieve
the desired windrow width.
The windrow width range from: 0.9m to 1.9m on the 530.
Standard Wide Spread Kit
The factory installed vanes under the
conditioning hood will spread the crop over the
full width of the mower conditioner.
By spreading the crop on the ground, the
exposed surface is greatly increased, therefore
allowing the crop to dry faster and avoid the
need for tedding.
Optional Grouper
up to 6m cut grass within a single windrow to be
picked up with a 3m wide SPFH pickup,
reducing operating time and costs considerably.
With better loading of the SPFH, the quality of
chop is dramatically improved and the working
speed is also reduced, minimising fatigue for the
trailer drivers.
