The John Deere thin modular cutterbar, made of nodular cast iron, gives you a flatter cutting angle, yet reaches a cutting height down to 20mm. This reduces wear on cutting components and decreases the likelihood of damage in rocky conditions. If there is a major breakdown, all you have to change is the damaged module.
Thc disc on each module is attached to the shearhub. If you hit an obstruction that stops the disc, splines on the hub will shear, protecting the gear drive. Repairs take minutes rather than hours.
Long, adjustable springs in an all new suspension system ensure consistent pressure on the ground. Plus you get a fast, soft return to position after striking an obstacle.
