When it comes to desktop software, John Deere works with a preferred partner, Farmade Management Systems - the UK’s leading supplier of farm office software. The Farmade JD Doc, JD Amais and GateKeeper Essentials software packages enable you to carry out a wide range of documentation and site-specific farming functions.
The JD Amais package allows original GreenStar users to download, analyse and recalculate Yield and Moisture maps from Harvest Doc equipped combines and SPFH. In addition, prescription maps can be created to allow variable rate applications using Field Doc Connect - the resulting As Applied maps being captured for future crop and field records. Pre-defined lists of crops, machinery, implements, fertilisers and sprays can be created for use in work plans, and Amais can also be linked to Farmade’s MultiCrop and GateKeeper crop management packages.
JD Doc is aimed at those customers using original GreenStar Field Doc to record applications in the field. It supports capture and display of field boundaries, line data and as applied maps.
GreenStar 2 display (GSD2100 / 2600) users can harness the true potential of their displays with the new GateKeeper Essentials software. With GateKeeper Essentials, you can create work plans including fields, products, rates and comments on the planned job and export these to the GreenStar 2 display. Full details of each completed job recorded on the display can then be uploaded back to GateKeeper Essentials on the PC or Laptop, for use with a comprehensive range of reporting tools. HSE reports, Traceability records and even invoices can be raised quickly and easily – ideal for contractors!
The GateKeeper Essentials + Maps software (available from January 2008) additionally includes harvest mapping (from Harvest Doc), application mapping and the creation of variable rate treatment plans for use with Field Doc Connect.
