Harvest Monitor is a cost-effective way to keep a check on the condition and performance of your crop, during harvesting. From the comfort of your combine cab, the GreenStar display (or Command Center on S series combines) keeps you informed of moisture content, dry yield and productivity whilst cutting continues. Totals per field or per crop can be recorded for future viewing, or even printed out using the optional GreenStar Printer.

By verifying which areas of the field brought you high yields and which didn't, you may be able to begin treating your fields differently to maximise inputs and overall yields. Or, conversely, reduce inputs to better match the yield potential of marginal ground.
Mass Flow Sensor
An impact plate catches the flow of grain from the top of the clean grain elevator. The mass of grain is calculated instantly and converted to a yield figure with an accuracy of +/- 3%. Calibration is simple, and there is no need to measure the specific weight of the crop.
Moisture Sensor
The John Deere Generation 2 Moisture sensor is the most advanced of its type available. Located in the head of the clean grain elevator, the sensor takes the average of 3 measurements to give an accuracy of +/- 1%. A plunger then empties the measuring chamber, simultaneously wiping clean the large measuring plate surfaces to avoid contamination an resulting inaccuracies.
