As the first step towards implementing a Precision Farming strategy on your farm, Harvest Doc accurately quantifies what you have always suspected – that some areas of your field are more productive than others. With this information, you can move towards minimizing inputs and maximizing your productivity, hectare by hectare. Using the same components as Harvest Monitor, the addition of the outstanding StarFire iTC DGPS receiver allows a whole new level of functionality. Field boundary logging, flagging points of interest, mapping crop yield and moisture are all possible.
Using desktop software from our preferred partner, Farmade Management systems, you can create vivid and accurate colour maps showing the yield and moisture content of your crop at all points in the field. Yield maps can also be recalculated to take into account dry yields or reflect the total sold tonnage from the store. Using the onscreen mapping features of the GreenStar 2 displays (GSD 2100 / 2600) you can even watch the map build on the screen in front of you, as you harvest!
With the “flagging” feature you can mark out specific points in the field for future attention. Simply switch on the the relevant “Flag” when you reach an interesting area in the field. The flagged area is then saved, and can be printed out using the Farmade software.
