Baler Wrap

Stretchwrap
John Deere Stretchwrap guarantees maximum performance in the challenging environment of quality bale wrapping.

Strength - John Deere Stretchwrap is manufactured from a 3-layer co-extruded blown film, giving exceptional mechanical properties. It is optimized for stretch up to 70%, essential in producing high quality silage. The film has a high strength in both machine and transverse direction giving a consistent stretch in both length and width.

Cling - John Deere Stretchwrap has superior cling properties. This ensures the most powerful airtight seal on every bale under all conditions.

UV Protection - John Deere Stretchwrap is well protected against harmful UV degradation. The UV inhibitor additive, coupled with the film's excellent dispersion qualities, provides year-round protection to both the film and the crop.

Puncture and tear Resistance - John Deere Stretchwrap is renowned for its superior performance. Advanced mechanical properties ensure the exceptional qualities in both puncture and tear resistance, essential at all stages of bale wrapping, to handling and stacking of the bales.

Baler Twine
Baler Twine John Deere Big Baler Twine is renowned for its strength and performance, and is suitable for use in all makes of baler for hay, silage or straw baling.

Strength - John Deere Big Baler Twines are manufactured from a single tape. This production technique guarantees that a precise and uniform twist in the twine can be achieved, which cannot be accurately controlled when using two or more tapes twisted together.

Easy feed - The Easy Feed system on all John Deere Big Baler Twines allows the twine to be drawn from the spool centre without kinking. Easy Feed helps to ensure the twine flows freely and evenly from the start of the spool to the very end, thus eliminating knotting problems.

Individual Spool ID - Every spool of John Deere Big Baler Twine has its own identity, from the unique quality control identification number attached to the top of each spool. These details are essential to confirm every detail of the twine's production history, from the raw materials used right through to the final packaging stage.

Quality Assurance - John Deere Big Baler twines are manufactured to the highest standards.

Netwrap
Netwrap Round Bale Netwrap usage is increasing in many markets, as more people understand the real cost benefits of netwrap. Although a pack of twine may be a lower unit price than a roll of netwrap, the actual cost of bale production can often be more expensive using twine.

Benefits of using netwrap:
  • Increased productivity means extra time available or the potential to produce extra bales - extra income potential.
  • Turning a 1 tonne bale only twice, vs. 10 times - reduces wear and tear on the baler.
  • Reduced costs - extra driver, tractor, fuel and maintenance or servicing cost.
  • Better re-sale value of baler.
  • Better bale coverage - eliminates shoulders and prevents air being trapped whilst wrapping.
  • Better weather protection.
  • Less crop loss, easier handling and storage.

CoverEdge
CoverEdge CoverEdge Netwrap covers 15% more surface area of the round bale than any other product.

CoverEdge netwrap protects the edges of the bale and prevents rainwater penetration and moisture collection within the bale.

CoverEdge goes over the edge of the bale to improve the weatherability of the package. No loose "fluff" to pick up the moisture from rainfall.

CoverEdge smooth edges hold crop tight to the bale surface.

CoverEdge netwrap produces high-quality silage bales when wrapped with stretch film because the bale surface is smooth, eliminating air pockets in the bale.
Red end warning indicates the last 80m of each roll, with the appearance of the red stripe to warn of roll end.

Exclusive Zebra System shows the operator how to install the netting in the baler. Wide striping is always on the right-hand side. It also shows the farmer which direction to pick up the bale for easy unrolling when feeding out the bale.

XtraNet 3600
XtraNet 3600 John Deere XtraNet offers the "Professional" contractor more bales per roll than standard netwrap. With a guaranteed minimum 3600m in every roll of John Deere XtraNet, you will get 20% more than traditional 3000m length netwrap, meaning more bales per roll.

More bales per roll means that you can bale for longer without so many time-wasting interruptions to change the roll so often. With 20% more netwrap on a roll, you will enjoy less waste packaging, less fetching and carrying, greater efficiency - and still enjoy all of the performance benefits offered by John Deere netwrap at a lower cost per bale than ever before.

John Deere XtraNet is designed for the professional user and offers more features to make baling easier:

Edge to Edge - the patented Edge to Edge production method has significantly improved the performance of round bale netwrap, enabling the net to achieve full bale coverage and so produce the perfect bale, every time.

Zebra System - John Deere Netwrap features the unique Zebra System - a green asymmetrical striping pattern across the width of the net which gives the operator a very clear "left/right" indicator when loading the net into the baler, and also shows clearly which way to unroll the bale when feeding out.

Red End Warning System - every roll of John Deere Netwrap has a red warning stripe, which warns the end of the roll is approaching. The warning stripe shows as the last 70 metres of the net is reached, allowing the operator to prepare for a roll change and avoid baling without net in the baler.

Pallet Cradles - All rolls on the pallet are securely held in purpose-designed cradles. These reduce risk of rolls moving about during transportation and also makes breaking pallets down easier and safer.

Carry Handles - new for John Deere net is the addition of carry handles on each roll. This aids the handling and carrying of the roll in the store and on the farm. John Deere always recommend that a minimum of two people handle rolls when carrying or loading net into the baler.
