R & D Centers
John Deere’s product development consists of concept development, new product realization, present product engineering, technical support and technology development. The company has two R&D centres:
Tampere, Finland:
Forwarders, wheel harvesters, harvester heads and measuring systems.
Woodstock, Ontario, Canada:
Track feller-bunchers and harvesters, skidders, forwarders and felling heads.
John Deere forestry research and development employs a total of 180 persons. They are equipped with state-of-the-art design and analysis tools, such as the Pro/Engineer 3-D CAD.
