The guiding principle of John Deere's R&D work is to ensure maximum productivity and at the same time make reliable machines. In order to improve productivity, John Deere has brought innovative solutions into the market, such as balanced bogies, mini-lever controls for harvesters, ergonomically designed cabs and state-of-the-art control systems, such as the TMC™ and the Timbermatic 300™.
To ease up machine maintenance and to reduce production costs, John Deere aims to standardize components across product lines. Any component is carefully tested in one product before being applied in other models.
The same product development systems and tools are used in all R&D centers around the world. Consequently, the solutions can also be applied worldwide in order to improve reliability.
