The compact head for bigger timber
The John Deere H758 is purpose designed for later thinnings and regeneration harvesting.
The H758 has powerful four wheel drive to ensure fast, precise feeding with every trunk and five delimbing knives to ensure the optimum delimbing result. Its two moving and two fixed feed roller motors are hydraulically serial connected with a mechanical differential clutch. This constant four wheel drive together with the two idler rollers and it's short frame structure gives the H758 excellent feeding power, even with bent timber and heavy branches. Dual potentiometers located on the upper delimbing knives and the hydraulically actuated measuring wheel provide accurate diameter and length measuring. A new type bearing in the same unit enables improved utilization of the whole saw blade length in sawing cycles.
Its simple, robust frame structure makes the H758 a reliable and durable harvester head. With its excellent weight/power ratio, it is perfect for use with the John Deere 1270D, 1470D and other harvester carriers in the same size class.
