The John Deere H480 is purpose designed for later thinnings and regeneration harvesting.
Its compact and robust frame structure ensures the highest levels of reliability and durability, and an unbeatable power-to-weight ratio. The H480 is designed for both wheel and track based machines.
The H480 boosts productivity with its proven, powerful, continuous four-wheel drive feeding mechanism. This and its short frame structure provide fast and precise feeding, also when processing crooked and bent timber.
Four moving delimbing knives, and a variety of optional fixed or movable top and back knives, ensure optimum delimbing results and excellent stem control. The wide opening of the delimbing knives and feed roller arms makes the John Deere H480 a compact head for bigger timber. Long upper knives ensure better handling of bigger trees and picking up stems from ground or out of piles.
