The John Deere H270 is a powerful, high capacity new generation harvester head, built for superior performance in late thinning and regeneration harvesting. It is designed for use with large wheel harvester.
The H270 features the highly efficient Supercut 100 saw unit and can fell and process trees up to 650mm diameter. The Supercut saw unit minimizes bucking damage and the integrated automatic chain lubrication and tensioning system improves cutting performance while reducing maintenance time. The optional 3-colour marking system provides high accuracy and low dye consumption.
Four moving delimbing knives, one floating top knife and one fixed back knife follow the contours of the stem. The geometry of the knives ensures an excellent delimbing quality from large diameters down to small top diameters.
