John Deere Launches New Family of Walk-behind Mowers
Walk-Behind Line Includes Added Features for Improved Cut Quality
John Deere launches three new best-in-class walk-behind mowers for 2010 — models JM26, JM36 and JM46. This Autumn as homeowners start their mower engines, they'll want a machine that provides great cut quality, power and ease-of-use.
The family of mowers is designed with enhanced features to improve quality of cut and overall performance, including a 22" deck for wider cutting and a maximum self-propelled speed of 6.4 km/h for greater efficiency. The entire line also features MowMentum™ Drive; a variable drive system that allows operators to modify the mower speed to match their stride, delivering more control and comfort. To meet the demands of various property conditions, the new walk behinds also include a broad cut height range from 30.5 mm to 106.7 mm.
All three models boast more power and durability; the JM26 and JM36 operate with a 2.3kW@2800 rpm Briggs & Stratton® engine and the JM46 runs on 3.3kW@2900 rpm. Additionally, the JM36 and JM46 include rear wheel drive, which allows for added traction when bagging clippings. As the bag fills with grass the weight causes the mower's center of gravity to shift backward over the rear wheels.
"This new family of walk-behind mowers is engineered to provide improved cut quality and high performance standards," said Garry Weegink, Tactical Marketing Segment Manager, John Deere Limited. "This series is designed to give homeowners a quality lawn care solution in a compact, durable package without sacrificing performance."
The JM26, JM36 and JM46 all come with a two-year homeowner warranty and are available now through John Deere's strong national dealer network.
