John Deere Upgrades Gator™ Utility Series Vehicles
New and improved models with improved performance
John Deere recently announced updates to models in its utility series of vehicles, part of the broadest portfolio of utility vehicles on the market. Within the Utility Series, the Gator TX, Gator TH and Gator TE models all received updates in time for the 2010 Spring/Summer season.
The versatile John Deere Utility Series vehicles are designed to meet the demanding needs of the hardest working customers in the most economical way. From light transport, to the most difficult commercial tasks, these reliable machines get the job done.
"At John Deere, we understand that customers demand excellent performance in their utility vehicles," said Rene Lubbers, Product Sales Manager. "We aim to exceed these expectations with the update of these models, with new and improved features that deliver the work capability that customers need."
With improved performance in mind, the kilowatts for the Gator TX has increased 14.1 kW (19-hp) and now features 90 percent more torque than previous models. The TX also has quicker acceleration, reaching a maximum speed of 32.1 km/h, 44 percent faster than the previous model. In addition, a new coil-over-shock suspension system delivers a smoother ride.
The Gator TE, a true electric workhorse, can run all day on a single overnight charge, and haul up to 408 kgs of payload while giving users the advantages of zero emissions and zero fuel consumption. This model will now be available for purchase throughout the entire John Deere Agriculture & Turf Division dealer and distributor network.
