John Deere introduces the new 450 Self-Propelled Windrower with advanced draper platform. The D450 is designed with improved comfort and control and delivers increased horsepower for more productivity in the field. The new machine allows customers to harvest grain earlier and longer during the day with faster grain dry-down and less shatter loss.

The new D450 Windrower features a 200 hp (149 kW), six-cylinder, 6.8L PowerTech™ E engine with heavy-duty planetary drives and final drives for extra durability in the toughest cutting conditions. The windrower can be paired with any John Deere 600D Draper Platform, ranging in sizes from 25- to 40-ft (7.6 to 12.2 m).

For improved control and comfort, the D450 Windrower comes with larger front tyres and the IntelliAxle™ system, a speed-sensing rear steering-assist feature that uses hydraulic pressure to enhance the manoeuvrability and handling of the machine depending on the operating speed. All units come standard with ComfortCommand™ air-suspension seats and CommandCenter™ displays that give operators accurate, integrated control of draper settings, such as belt speed, float pressure and sensitivity, and tilt positions, while swathing.

The D450 Windrower has a 473 litre fuel tank to cover more hectares before refuelling and has a top transport speed of 33 km/h. Like all 400 Series Windrowers, it is CAN bus integrated to make troubleshooting easier and reduce downtime.
