8030 Series Tractors Now Available with 50 km/h Transport Speed

February 19, 2007 - Producers are continuously looking for ways to improve efficiency in their operations. For some, whose operation includes significant transport applications, productivity can be increased with faster maximum transport speeds. As a solution to this customer need, John Deere introduces the new 50 km/h Value Package for 8030 Series Tractors.

"Our customers have been asking for faster transport speeds and now we provide that capability with the new 50 km/h Value Package," says Kevin Platz, Product Development Manager. "This package includes the 50 km/h Infinitely Variable Transmission (IVT™) that boosts maximum transport speed by 19 percent compared to the standard-equipped 42 km/h PowerShift Transmission or IVT™."

The 50 km/h Value Package includes front Independent Link Suspension (ILS™) with wet multi-disk brakes, a hydraulic differential lock, and a fully enclosed driveline. It also requires a 2,438 mm (96 in.) rear axle with rear air or hydraulic implement brake connections and single, "B" speed-rated 50 km/h tyres.

"Customers should contact their local John Deere dealer for the proper use and set up of these tractors," says Platz. "Depending on the application your John Deere dealer can answer implement compatibility questions.
