Diesel Z-Trak™ Mowers : Product Overview

The John Deere Z-Trak™ Series have the ability to move around tight obstacles, whilst still maintaining the functionality of a heavy duty rotary mower. Fully enclosed engine compartment reduces overall engine noise. The enclosure can be removed quickly, allowing full access to engine and transmission components for easy service.

Designed to meet the needs of production mowers, the 997 Diesel Z-Trak™ is equipped with a 23 kW (31 hp) Yanmar diesel engine. This engine provides more displacement and peak torque than most competitors, which allows operators to mow ample amounts of grass in a short period of time or in difficult conditions.

The 997 Z-Trak™ comes with a commercial, heavy duty mower deck, made with unique 7-gauge (4.5 mm) steel construction, and available in 60 or 72 in. 7-Iron II™ side-discharge decks and a 60 in. rear-discharge deck.

The Material Collection System (MCS) for the 997 Z-Trak™ Mowers increases the operator's productivity through the construction of a durable collection system. Professional landscape contractors can increase productivity by emptying the large 13 bushel (458 L) capacity hopper without leaving the seat. This system allows fast, easy grass and leaf clipping collection to give lawns a well-groomed appearance.
