Tri-Plex Greens Mower : Product Overview

2500B Tri-Plex Greens Mower The best greens aren't built, they're maintained, and no machine maintains greens better than the John Deere 2500 Tri-Plex Greens Mower. After years of extensive testing feedback from literally thousands of superintendents worldwide, the 2500 has been engineered to give an exceptional quality of cut, the utmost in operator comfort and the highest level of serviceability.

  • Patented offset cutting unit design makes for reduced traffic pattern on the cleanup area of the green, thereby reducing tri-plex ring, as well as increasing operator visibility of all 3 cutting units (incl the centre unit).
  • The bedknife-to-reel design allows for all adjustments to be made with one 16mm spanner.
  • Cutting unit suspension (patent pending) is designed to carry the weight of the lift arms and grass catchers on the traction unit and not on the cutting units.
  • Lift arms also feature a 'quik-tatch' cutting unit removal - simply remove one spring pin and the cutting unit can be released from the lift arm for servicing.
  • All daily service checks can be done from the left side of the machine.
  • By reviewing the light pattern displayed on the control panel, technicians can analyse electric circuitry functions, and a four-function monitor alerts the operator about engine temperature, oil pressure, battery charge, and hydraulic oil temperature.

2500E Triplex Greensmower

Ever seen electricity leak all over a green? Neither have we.

The run all-day, 2500E Hybrid Greensmower by John Deere. It's about advanced technology and common sense. The 2500E is a hybrid mower that powers the reels using a belt-driven alternator. By removing all of the hydraulics from the cutting units, we've eliminated 102 potential leak points and since 90% of all hydraulic leaks occur in the reel circuit, the possibility of a leak is extremely remote.

Receiving power through a 48-volt alternator, the reels gets consistent power from the moment of engagement. Which in turn leads to a consistent cut all day long. When you factor in lower sound levels and less fuel consumption, the 2500E makes even more sense.
