With the 3245C Independent Deck Mower from John Deere, you get cutting performance rarely seen from a wide area rotary mower. The 3245C has five, 53 cm (21 in) independent rotary reach discharge decks for a total cutting width of 2.2 m (90 in). The decks are made out of sturdy 10-gauge steel with two 13 cm (5 in) wide front rollers and one solid rear roller for attractive striping. And changing the height of cut is easy: no tools are required to change it from 2.5 to 10 cm (1 – 4 in).
Operating the 3245C is just as easy. All of the controls are located at the operator’s fingertips on the right-hand control arm. With just a light touch, you can lift and lower the decks with the single lever joystick. Two-pedal foot controls give you speed and direction with just a touch of the toe. And the tilt steering column gives a full 38 cm (15 in) of travel to suit any and every operator.
Power hasn’t been overlooked either. The 3245C is equipped with 35.7 kW John Deere liquid-cooled turbocharged engine. The maximum mowing speed clocks in at a brisk 14 km/h, with a maximum transport speed of 20 km/h.
