7030 Series Large Frame Tractors : Transmissions

Option flexibility on the 7030 Series Large-Frame Tractors begins with the transmission offerings. There are three transmission options including the 16-Speed PowrQuad PLUS™, 20-Speed AutoQuad PLUS™ and the John Deere Infinitely Variable Transmission (IVT™). For material transport operations, the AutoQuad PLUS™ and IVT™ are available in 40 or 50 km/h versions. All of these choices provide customers a wide selection of features to match the tractor horsepower levels and operate today's advanced equipment.

The John Deere IVT™ is an easy-to-use transmission with simple and intuitive controls allowing you to move smoothly from 50 metres/hr to the top of speed 40 or 50 km/h ... and any speed in between. Never again is a gear too fast or too slow, the IVT™ provides a seamless range of speeds with no gaps. No clutching is required to start or stop the tractor. The footbrake with integrated AutoClutch performs like the brake in a car; simply depress both brakes and the transmission ratios down to a stop from any ground speed. To keep your 7030 Series Large-Frame Tractor stationary even on inclines, use the John Deere exclusive PowerZero™ feature.

The John Deere IVT™ is available on all models of the 7030 Series Large-Frame Tractors with left-hand or right-hand reverser controls. Choose from the top speed of 40 km/h, or, new for Model Year 2007, a 50 km/h version.

The AutoQuad PLUS™ transmission operates much like the 30 km/h PowrQuad PLUS™ transmission in base equipment. However the AutoQuad PLUS™ offers some automatic shifting capabilities and faster speeds not available on the PowrQuad PLUS™, thus enhancing operator convenience and productivity. The transmission is equipped with 20 forward and 20 reverse speeds, a left-hand reverser, and four powershiftable gears in five fully synchronised ranges.

The AutoQuad PLUS™ will operate at speeds as slow as 2.5 km/h with RCI Group 46 rear tyres. Choose from the top speed of 40 km/h or new for Model Year 2007, a 50 km/h version.
