Electrohydraulic activated MFWD clutch with wet multi disks allows on-the-go engagement:

• Four-wheel braking power is automatic (excluding single wheel braking).
• Automatically engages below 20.9 Km/h (13 mph) and disengages above 22.8 Km/h (14.2 mph) (in auto position).
• Automatically engages and disengages as part of the HMS II mode (see Cab section).

• 12° caster angle allows up to 52° steering angle depending on wheel sizes and tread setting.
• Limited slip differential automatically compensates for traction differences to maximize pull.
• 11° axle oscillation for best ground adaptation.
• MFWD drive shaft joint is enclosed to prevent drive line damage on seal and U-joint.
• Large, full-coverage flexible front fenders with wide range of adjustments protect the cab from mud and debris.
• Tread setting range of 1511 mm to 2118 mm ( 59.5-in. to 83.4-in). (tread settings up to 2235 mm (88-in). with optional wheel spacer kits).

Optional MFWD with Triple Link Suspension™ (TLS) increases traction, puts more power to the ground, and improves ride quality.

• TLS™ is available for all tractors with cabs and includes:
• A self-levelling system with +/- 50 mm (2 inches) of suspension stroke under any axle load condition.
• Permanent engagement of axle suspension with automatic adjustment of the sensitivity of the suspension rate to the actual axle load (from heavy rear-mounted implement to heavy front loader work).
• John Deere Triple Link System is not only for optimised suspension, it has a long draft member that:
• Optimises draft performance by synchronizing with hitch sensing.
• Compensates for power hop under heavy pull conditions.

 
The 7020 Series are fitted with inboard planetary final drives and Rack and Pinion Rear Axles.

• Standard Axle - Rack and Pinion Length: 2438 mm (96-in). Diameter:86 mm (3.4-in).
• Optional Axle - Rack and Pinion Length: 2806 mm (110.5-in). Diameter: 86 mm (3.4-in).
• Optional Axle - Flanged Width: 1663 mm (65.5-in). Not available on the 7520 Open Station model
