6030 Series Tractors : Serviceability

Superior John Deere built quality with field proven reliability reduces maintenance requirements from the outset. With easy access to all regular service points service time is kept to a minimum. And the modular construction concept greatly reduces 'removal and replacement' times of major components. The result is a more reliable tractor that won't let you down when you need it most.

Servicing your 6030 Series Tractor is Easy

Servicing is now easier than ever. The tilt hood on the new 6030 Series tractors features two positions for easy engine, radiator and component access. A strong gas strut hold the single-piece hood securely in place at approximately 45 degrees. Or, you can override the strut and position the hood vertically, for maximum clearance.

  • All items in the daily service schedule can be performed without the use of tools.
  • Long, openable service doors, and a composite, one piece front openable bonnet allow excellent access to the regular service components.
  • Engine oil dipstick, filler cap and bayonet-mount fuel filter are centrally grouped on the left hand side, while the vertically suspended engine oil filter is conveniently located on the right hand side of the engine.
  • The service interval for engine oil is 500 hours.
  • The service interval for transmission oil is 1500 hours.

Maintenance-Free Lifetime Concept

The 6030 Series lifetime design concept features oil-immersed and oil-cooled brake and clutch components.

  • All clutch systems such as Perma Clutch II™, PTO, MFWD and differential lock require no maintenance.
  • The brakes are self-equalising and self-adjusting, thus maintenance-free. Adjustment and replacement is no longer necessary.
  • Automatic self-adjusting brake retractors help reduce fuel consumption by minimising brake drag.
