John Deere designed and manufactured diesel engines provide excellent torque, fuel efficiency and durability. The 5003 Tractor uses a turbocharged engine that meets Tier II EPA emissions requirements. All models comply with the EPA's non-road emission regulations according to 40 CFR Part 89. The heavy-duty cylinder block provides greater strength and rigidity for many hours of dependable power along with optimized cylinder heads providing improved airflow, better fuel economy, and less smoke.
