Self-Propelled Sprayers : Cab & Controls

The GreenStar™ Ready CommandView™ cab provides industry-leading visibility, operator comfort, convenience, safety, and productivity. The operator controls the sprayer with the hydro lever that moves with the ComfortCommand™ seat. Exhaust routing, SprayStar™ display placement, the narrow hood, and dash console allow clear visibility to the front tyres. This aids steering control in tight row-crop conditions. Many competitive units do not make the front wheels visible from the cab.

The SprayStar™ spray rate control system is a standard feature and integrated into the design of the machine, not a third party add-on. The chassis computer provides central control of many vehicle and solution system functions for a simple approach.

John Deere Self-Propelled Sprayers

SprayStar™ provides superior rate control, response times, and ease of use. The rate control locks on to the desired application rate much more quickly and maintains that rate better than previous models. All programming values that a customer must enter are designed to be easily understood.

The high-speed hydraulic control valve varies pump speed to produce only the required solution flow rather than using a valve to throttle down the pump's maximum output. Since the pump rarely turns at full speed, pump life is extended and power requirements are reduced.

Note: To ensure uniform distribution, boom and nozzle tip calibration are crucial, especially at extremes of flow rates.

Swath Control Pro is a system that achieves GPS on/off using the optional GS2 display. Swath Control Pro utilises the optional GreenStar™ 2 system to turn sprayer boom sections on and off automatically, according to a coverage map where the operator and machine have previously applied product or created internal or external boundaries that are not to be sprayed. This will take the operator to the next level of spraying productivity.
