From guidance systems to record keeping and mapping software, GreenStar™ products are designed to help you make the most of your equipment investment.

To use the GreenStar™ products, you need three common components.

The mobile processor, StarFire™ position receiver, and GreenStar™ display work together to create a fully integrated system that you can customize for your operation.

These same three components can be moved easily from a tractor to a sprayer to a combine, so one set is all you really need.

• GreenStar™ Parallel Tracking
• GreenStar ™ AutoTrac™ (Available on 8000/8010/8020/8030 wheel and track tractors and 9000/9020 wheel and track tractors).

The StarFire™ receiver is a dual-frequency DGPS receiver which uses a 10-channel engine to pick up signals from Global Positioning System Satellites and from the StarFire™ network.

The GreenStar™ system uses these signals to pinpoint machine longitude, latitude, and altitude.

The brains of the GreenStar™ system is the Mobile Processor.

This mobile computer attaches quickly to the back of the GreenStar™ display.

• It logs field, crop, and position information to the PC Data Card when using mapping software.
• The Processor also holds the KeyCard software for several applications, including Parallel Tracking, FieldDoc™, and combine yield mapping. Best of all, the processor can be moved quickly from machine to machine.

TheGreenStar™ display is simple to use. Menu-driven commands allow you to program information quickly.

The large display lets you readily view operational data while on-the-go.

The same display works in all your equipment - tractor, combine, sprayer, and Gator™ utility vehicle.

If you rely on marker arms to make straight lines out of your wide open spaces, you'll appreciate the benefits of GreenStar™ Parallel Tracking.

This system uses GPS signals to pinpoint your machines location in the field. Just designate a path you want to follow by establishing a baseline.

Visual indicators and audible alerts help you stay parallel to this line as you move across the field. But straight isn't the only way parallel tracking works. With it's curved track capabilities, you can use the system even in irregularly shaped fields.

And if you run out of seed in the middle of a pass, parallel tracking will let you mark the point, refill, and return to the exact place you left off seeding.

Stored markers are saved in the memory indefinitely, so if you get called away, you can return to the right spot hours or even days later.

The Terrain Compensation Module (TCM) can also be added to any StarFire™ position receiver for use in a Parallel Tracking system. The addition of the TCM will enhance the performance of a Parallel Tracking system, especially in rough terrain and hillsides.

Drive straighter, drive longer, drive more efficiently, all thanks to the GreenStar™ AutoTrac™ Assisted Steering System, now available for John Deere 8000 Series wheeled tractors (MFWD or ILS-equipped), as well as the 8000 Series and 9000 Series track-type tractors.

AutoTrac™ uses the common components - an SF2 signal, KeyCard software and a vehicle-specific bundle (required on some machines) to steer your tractor.

All you have to do is steer through the first pass, mark it as track 0, and let AutoTrac™ take over from there.

You still steer around obstacles and make headland turns, but with the push of a button, AutoTrac™ puts you back on track with higher operating speeds and more efficient use of inputs.
