John Deere Centre Pivot Mower Conditioners are designed to cut thousands of hectares at maximum speed, with minimum wear. These machines are a cut above the rest as they provide the user with greater comfort and higher productivity. Common on all John Deere Mower Conditioners is the “V” shaped free swinging steel tyne conditioner to accelerate dry down thus improving forage quality. Steel impeller tynes carry your crop against the conditioning hood to remove the stems' waxy layer, allowing moisture to escape. Ideal for shorter brome, fescue, alfalfa and grasses. An optional Urethane Rolls Conditioning System is available on all models. The chevron design on urethane rolls provides increased crimping and more pressure per square inch. Perfect for crops like legumes, clover and alfalfa. The 900 Series also offer the option of an angled steel conditioner. The angled conditioner is suitable for crops such as sudan, sudex or heavy volume crops.
The John Deere thin modular cutterbar is made of nodular cast iron which is thoroughly and evenly tempered for good wear characteristics working at a speed of 307 kph for clean cutting. These knives are free-swinging to reduce damage if a solid object is struck and are reversible to double useful life.
Each cutterbar consists of two idler gears and one drive gear giving a flatter cutting angle as well as achieving a cutting height down to 20mm. This reduces the wear on the cutting components and decreases the likelihood of damage in rocky conditions. The disc on each module is attached to the shearhub. If you hit an obstruction that stops the disc, splines on the hub will shear, protecting the gear drive. If there is a major breakdown, all you have to change is the damage module taking minutes rather than hours.
