John Deere’s extensive range of headers and pick-ups have been designed to offer you the flexibility to harvest in a wide variety of crop types and field conditions.

Whole crop headers, one of three heads available for the 7050 Series Forage Harvester, are commonly used for whole crop harvests such as cereals and plant mixes. The 600R series headers offer high capacity, superior cutting quality and fast and easy hook-up. The main advantage of course is its ability to be used on your forage harvester equipment and combine.

Features include:

• SPFH preparation - a bundle offered, which will permit the adaptation of hydraulic and mechanic connections (for use on machines with IVLOC only)
• 600R Cutting Platforms – 7 models available with sizes ranging from 4.3 to 9.15 metres
• Heavy duty knives drive gearbox – delivers 1040 cycles per minutes cutting speed , a long 89mm stroke and maintains a smooth linear knife motion for reliable vibration free operation
• Cutter bar – designed with 100mm cutting sections for easy replacement on the field, as well as non-clog dual knife guards that fully enclose the sections for positive, clean cutting
• Large high capacity auger - features a larger auger tube with deeper auger flighting to aggressively feed large volumes of crop material. Auger fingers mounted with a retainer also prevent broken fingers from being moved into the combine minimising damage caused by rocks or other obstructions.
• Stainless steel feed plates and three position cutting table – provide a smooth feed surface for better crop flow, while the cutter bar can be adjusted closer or further away from the platform auger to match various crop conditions
• Full width auger finger - helps move tough or green crop material more quickly to increase productivity and provide a more even feed
• Pick up reel - Strong, large diameter reel helps to achieve high capacity harvesting even in adverse conditions. Together with the reel position, speed and tine angle, it can be adjusted to match various crop conditions.
• Bottom protection plates - protect the cutting table and help provide better platform floatation in wet or soft soil conditions
• Hinged short crop dividers and crop lifters - dividers help feed material smoothly at the edges of the platform. Both feature a hinged design to provide easy road transport of large platforms. Optional crop lifters are available and recommended for laid and tangled crops or peas.
