Flowpath and crop flow
The crop flow is designed to minimise friction and reduce wear and tear so that every component is perfectly balanced, working in harmony with each other.
Smooth crop feeding
Four heavy duty steel feed rolls ensure an even and tight crop mat reaches the cutterhead for precise chopping. The upper feedrolls are suspended allowing them to adapt to any crop mat thickness while the variable speed determines length of cut.
Metal detector and stone trap
The highly sensitive metal detector system disengages the cutterhead in a fraction of a second to avoid breakdowns, internal damage and protect livestock. Metal found on the crop mat is detected by a magnetic field generated by a 3-coil sensor inside the lower front feedroll. Crop is scanned continuously, so as soon as metal is detected, the system automatically and immediately stops the feedrolls.
Efficient and precise cutting
Our DuraDrum cutterhead is field proven on more than 17,000 forage harvesters. The cutterhead harvests crops with ease, efficiency and precision, owing to its robust structure, range of knives and knife holder construction, sharpening mechanism, cutterhead band and chute design.
Effective kernel cracking
The kernel processor cracks all maize kernels for better digestibility, and accelerates the crop flow to the crop accelerator. How? The Kernel Processor is positioned in the curved crop chute and aids crop to enter the rolls at the right angle. This design eliminates the slow down effect caused by build-up, improves silage quality and optimises your power requirement to enhance the productivity of your harvester. Another excellent feature is the Quick-change control, which allows you to switch from various crops in minutes, facilitated by a hoist and slide rails. There is a choice of rolls for maize, wholegrain cereals, and specialist crops like sorghum.
High speed loading
The crop accelerator is as wide as the crop chute to deliver fast and steady throughput regardless the crop or condition. The curved crop chute enables crop to enter the accelerator at a shallower angle, reducing wedging and pinching of crop.
