7050 Series Self-Propelled Forage Harvesters use powerful, high-torque, in-line 6-cylinder, turbocharged, and aftercooled diesel engines.

The 7050 Series Self-Propelled Forage Harvesters have a self-bleeding system for automatic refueling after running out of fuel or changing fuel filters. This new system greatly reduces the amount of time required to start the engine after running out of fuel or changing the fuel filters. Competition typically relates fuel consumption to the amount of fuel used per day. However, the real question in forage harvesting is the amount of fuel burned per ton of crop chopped. Larger-capacity machines will burn more fuel per hour, due to the increased amount of crop chopped per hour.

Automatic engine low-idle is also a new feature of the 7050 Series machines. This feature automatically lowers engine rpm to low idle when the hydro handle is moved to neutral while in road mode. This feature helps to reduce fuel consumption and lower the amount of noise produced by the forage harvester.

Reduce cost, enhance comfort, get more power to the ground and increased operator convenience...The all new PRODRIVE Propulsion system is a powerful hydrostatic transmission combined with a 2 speed automatic shifting mechanical gear box. It allows continuous speed adjustments at high torque between 0 and 20km/h in the field working range and 0 to 40km/h transport range.
