7050 Series Self Propelled Forage Harvesters : Cab

Operator's Cab

The panoramic cab gives you tremendous all-round vision. The mirrors are well placed for excellent visibility. The large expanse of curved, tinted glass assures a clear front view to beyond the width of harvesting units. Visibility to the side and rear of the machine is virtually unobstructed, since the cab is designed without rear corner posts for greater spout visibility. A front window sun visor can be lowered to reduce glare. Two large, electrically adjustable, heated convex mirrors are available. The cab also provides reduced vibration and noise levels during those long harvesting hours.

Forage Harvester Operator Station

Other features include:

  • Hydraulic Flotation
  • Advanced Header height control
  • Lighting package

As soon as you close the door and sit in the well padded air suspension seat, you realize the 7050 is an operator’s forage harvester. Take control over the seat height, as well as the angle and reach of the steering wheel in only a few seconds.

An operator presence safety switch stops the harvesting unit and feedrolls, if the operator leaves the seat for five seconds with the harvesting functions engaged.

A comfortable training seat with a seat belt is included with the machine, along with a cool box. This refrigerated compartment is located behind the training seat for keeping beverages cool or a sack lunch fresh.

A Field Office™ option is available on all 7050 Series forage harvesters, which includes storage folder and a removable tray perfect for items such as cassettes, CD's, and cell phones. The Field Office storage is located under the training seat.

Controls & Instruments

CommandArm

The control switches and monitors are all conveniently located and easy to read.

CommandArm™- The multi-function lever contains switches for spout flap control, spout rotation, header height resume, and harvesting unit lift, plus an emergency stop switch for added safety.

The right-hand armrest control panel contains switches to control harvesting operations such as the road safety switch, 2-speed spout rotation, throttle buttons, hydraulic controls, and header fast/slow speed.

Corner post with monitors

Cornerpost Displays- The triple-display digital tachometer and InfoTrak cornerpost display provide eye-level controls to the operator.

Top display contains machine indicator icons for priority 1, 2, or 3 warning signals or functions, such as engine oil pressure, intercooler indicator, or rear wheel drive active icons.

The middle panel is the performance monitor display, which contains functions such as setting length-of-cut, POWR SAVRTM™ adjustments, and the acre counter.

The lower display is the digital InfoTrak monitor, which allows the operator to monitor items such as engine and cutterhead speed, fuel and coolant temperature gauges, and access to all diagnostic codes.

Located on the right-hand cornerpost, the InfoTrak monitor can display two of the following data simultaneously and provides a digital readout of:

  • Ground speed
  • Cutterhead rotor rpm
  • Engine rpm
  • Engine or cutterhead working hours and service intervals
  • InfoTrak also displays sharpening cycles, kernel processor roll clearance, and diagnostic codes.

Overhead Console

Overhead Control Panel- The front overhead console contains the POWR SAVR control panel, operating lights, wipers/washers, space for a radio, and lighting controls.
