The cotton accumulator has a high volume capacity of 9.1 cubic metres. The accumulator includes an automatic compacting auger and six feed rolls. The feed rolls ensure that a flat evenly distributed mat of cotton is fed into the round module builder.
Sensors located at both the top and bottom of the accumulator regulate the level of the cotton by activating and de-activating the feeding mechanism. The accumulator feature allows the 7760 to continue picking cotton while a module is being wrapped and deposited onto the handler.
The on-board module builder utilises 11 rubber belts with heavy duty 3-ply construction to produce round modules 2.4 m wide and up to 2,286 mm in diameter. The diameter of the module can be set to produce a module of 914 mm to 2,286 mm. This feature allows you to choose a module diameter that best fits your operation.
Wrap System
The wrap system utilises a polyethylene plastic film to wrap and protect the finished module from the elements. The 7760 can hold a total of five wrap rolls, one in the wrapping chamber and four in the wrap storage box. This capacity allows the operator to wrap approximately 100 round modules before more wrap must be loaded into the machine.
