Corn growers need high-capacity, efficient corn heads for an efficient harvest season. 600C Series Corn Heads provide the high capacity and productivity features corn growers are demanding. These corn heads deliver durability and dependability second to none.
The 600C Series Corn Headers are available in sizes ranging from 6- to 12-rows and in row spacing’s from 508 mm to 965 mm (20 to 38-in.). Plus, innovative new designs and technology deliver distinct advantages such as:
Capacity
-
Higher levels of performance when harvesting standing, down or leaning crops.
Material handling
-
The 600C Series Corn Heads take in less material, increasing separation and throughput.
Residue management
-
Three levels of residue management increase capabilities: aggressive straight rolls, more aggressive, longer life knife rolls and all new StalkMaster™ provides the ultimate in residue processing.
Reduced grain losses
-
The 600C Corn Heads are designed to minimise grain losses at the corn head and the combine.
The gearcase components have been redesigned to provide higher reliability. Bearings, bushings, and gears are all larger and stronger, giving you the power you need to cut through tough stalks. The fluted and knife rolls now have an opposing blade design for more aggressive cutting and crimping, and increased the roll speed by 25%.
A variety of other modifications have also been made to the gathering chains, auger and trough, all to give you the ultimate in harvesting performance, with fewer tossed ears, less ear shelling, and less free grain in the trough.
Key Features:
-
Large gathering chains and sprockets: expect increased chain life and once-a-season adjustment after the initial stretch of this chain.
-
Dual auger strippers significantly reduce the amount of auger wrapping in heavy grass, vines or wet/damp down corn, as well as keeping ears down in the auger floor rather than riding over the top of auger.
-
The large 457 mm tip diameter cross auger provides unmatched crop-handling capacity.
-
Auger bed floor has been lowered to stop free grain loss, prevent back-feeding and reduce the chance of ear damage.
-
The Perma-Glide™ points and deck covers can be quickly and easily raised for access to each row unit. Perma-Glide™ is a tough, durable solid polyethylene material that won't rust and resists dents. Formed from a seamless molding process you can be assured of less bulldozing and riding up of material.
StalkMaster™
The new StalkMaster™ chopping corn head brings high-performance corn harvesting paired with stalk-chopping capability.
Available in 606C, 608C and 612C models, sizing of the stalks is fast and easy, eliminating a second field pass.
Note: Requires the corn head to be equipped with knife stalk rolls.
-
The chopping gearcase is the muscle of the StalkMaster™ chopping corn head. It mounts on the corn head frame directly beside the row unit gearcase. The blades turn at 2200 rpm (520 backshaft speed) and increase incrementally with backshaft speed to adjust for maximum stalk processing. Each individual gearcase is protected from rocks and other obstructions by an internal radial pin slip clutch.
-
StalkMaster™ chopping heads feature side mounted rubberized curtains to prevent material from exiting the underside of the head. Additionally, the right-hand side of the head has an additional shield for protection from protruding blades.
