60 Series STS Combine Harvesters : Grain Handling

Faster Grain Handling

A new High-Unload Rate (HUR) system is available on the 9760 STS and 9860 STS Combine Harvesters. This new unloading system delivers a 50% increase (3.3 bushel per second) to the combine’s unloading rate capability.

60 Series Combine Harvesters - Grain Handling

This new unloading system includes:

  • Larger-diameter grain tank cross augers that run in larger semi-wrap grain tank troughs at a slower speed, gently engaging the grain and moving it more efficiently while reducing grain damage.
  • Larger-diameter vertical auger with wider pitch spacing between the flighting moves more grain with less contact to steel.
  • Larger-diameter unloading auger and auger tube with new end boot design work to deliver a higher volume of grain with better stream control.

Folding Unloading Auger for Easy Transport and Storage

John Deere now offers a folding unloading auger option, which shortens the length of the combine by approximately 2.44m (8-ft.) for convenience when transporting and storing the combine.

The end of the unloading auger is folded for transport or unfolded for operation from the combine operator’s seat with the touch of a button on the TouchSet™ armrest control.

This option is available on the 9660 STS, 9760 STS, 9860 STS Combines with the extended-wear grain-handling system and High Unloading Rate (HUR) 6.86m (22.5-ft.) unloading auger.
