6125 Generator Drive Engines

PowerTech™ 6125 Generator Engines

The PowerTech 12.5L engines were originally developed with Tier 2 requirements in mind, which resulted in very few changes in order to meet emission regulations. The only visible external change to the current 12.5L Tier 1 engine is the new center air intake manifold. Heat rejection and fuel consumption are equal to or better than most competitive Tier 1 12.5L engine ratings

The 12.5L incorporates the latest in engine technology, including a 4-valve cylinder head, overhead cam and electronic unit injectors. The new electronic unit injector on the 12.5L engines allows for even higher injection pressures, while the new turbocharger improves air flow - both helping to improve engine performance and meet Tier 2 emission regulations.

Designed with Full Authority Electronics, the 12.5L engines are equipped with an electronic control unit. Features of the electronic control unit include a 10% power bulge below rated speed, fuel temperature compensation, onboard diagnostics and expanded engine protection.
